February 29, 2024. Working in consultation with the Elon University Poll, the Imagining the Digital Future Center developed a public opinion survey to measure the general public’s awareness of artificial intelligence and ask people for their views about the future impact of AI technologies.
The survey was conducted by international market research and consulting firm Ipsos, using its KnowledgePanel® probability-based online survey designed to be representative of the U.S. population. Some 1,021 people responded to the survey, which was conducted Oct. 20-22, 2023, and the margin of error is plus or minus 3.2%.
